Membership - how to join ALTA

Membership is open to law teachers, academics and scholars, law librarians and anyone who holds duties or interests in legal education in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands.  It is open to all school and faculties within tertiary institutions and Practical Legal Training Courses in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands employing teachers of law.

ALTA has two membership categories:

1. Individual membership

This is for eligible Australasian law academics whose faculty or school does not have an institutional membership

2. Institutional  membership

Annual fee charged to an eligible Australasian institution, for which the institution will receive:

  • acknowledgement on the Association website;
  • complimentary soft copies of the Association journals; and
  • discounted registration fees for the Association conference/s for all staff
