2003 ALTA Conference

Changing Law

Griffith University
Law School
Queensland, Australia

6 – 9 July 2003

The Organising Committee invites you to attend the 2003 ALTA Conference.

The theme for this year's conference is 'Changing Law'. WE have assembled an exciting array of plenary speakers, who will address topics ranging from human rights, the WTO, Indigenous legal issues, and conditions of the (legal) academy, to international security and legal change processes.

There will be a full program of Interest Groups, and three special Workshops - on law and culture, legal education, and law and media. The Law and Culture Workshop will focus on a film to be screened on the opening night of the conference, while the Law and Media Workshop will feature the ABC Radio National Law Report's Damien Carrick, and Courier Mail journalist David Solomon.

The Conference will provide many opportunities to exchange ideas, update information and skills, and promote awareness of recent advances.

We look forward to welcoming you to Brisbane.

Dean of Law
